Meetings without Taboo

March 3-4, 2023

The 3rd edition of the "Meetings without Taboo" conference has already taken place!

On Friday The event "How to take care of yourself? Mental Well-being in the 21st Century.

During the meeting, we talked about how we can control this process and certain habits to understand why people become so easily addicted to the entertainment offered on the Internet. We talked about what stress is, how it manifests itself, and what we can do to fight it. We also wondered about the terrible consequences of the process of romanticizing suicide, the Werther effect - that is, the increase in the number of suicides when the suicide of a famous person is publicized, and how many people nowadays decide to take this step. Finally, we thought about our boundaries and how to communicate them. Our saying "no" is "yes" to our needs!

On SaturdayA series of workshops on mental health and relationships took place.  During the third edition of the conference, participants had the opportunity to take part in workshops conducted by a group of experts.

7 workshop blocks, each with a different topic!

We discussed topics such as: communicating with ourselves and others, communication without violence, and how to react and get out of a violent relationship. We talked, among others: that every person, regardless of gender or gender identity, can experience violence and that responsibility always lies with the perpetrator.

We learned about alarm signals, when to seek professional help, and how to choose the right specialist: a psychiatrist, psychologist, or therapist.

We also heard a lot about different therapeutic trends and how to set, but not exceed, other people's boundaries.

We are very happy that one of the workshops was held in Ukrainian, thanks to which people speaking this language could take part in the conference.
